DO YOUR WORRIES ROB YOU OF SLEEP?
Do your worries rob you of sleep? Are
they the same when you awake? The Bible
says that instead of worrying we should seek
God. Matthew 6:31,33. “Therefore do not
worry...But seek first the kingdom of God and
His righteousness.” The familiar verse John 3:16
tells you that God loves you! Be assured that He
wants you to come into His care, into His family.
In Matthew 11:28 -30 Jesus invites you saying,
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and
lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is
light.” You don’t have to bear your burden alone!
A yoke is for two. He wants you to be in tandem
with Him. The neat thing about this is that you
don’t have to know how He can help -- just
believe that He can and He will.
Proverbs 3:5,6 states, “Trust in the Lord
with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge
Him, and He shall direct your paths. ‘
Someone I know was out of work once for
fifteen months -a distressing worldly situation.
He was blessed because he already was a child
of God. He worked hard at finding a job, send-
ing out resumes and letters - without success.
He was concerned about his family but he trusted
God and didn’t worry. As a child of God he took
comfort in the promise of God assured in Romans
8:28. His chapel family was continually praying
for God’s solution..
In a very unusual way he finally received a job
offer that was totally different from his work
background. It sounded appealing and he took
the job. He took out the last of his savings to
buy a used car to get to work.
God works in mysterious ways; but, He
always succeeds. SEEK HIM - TRUST HIM.
You will NEVER be disappointed with God’s
care over you even in time of distress!

Romans 10:17 says “Faith comes by hearing and
hearing by the Word of God.”
